The Crop Protection Research Institute has developed a series of reports that define the value and benefits of pesticides to United States crop production. These studies assess the value and benefits of pesticides by examining measures of grower input ($’s) and crop yield (lbs/acre) under common pesticide use and no pesticide use scenarios. By comparing the crop losses suffered through no pesticide use with the cost associated with pesticide use, the value of pesticides and the benefits of their use are defined. Communication of this data and the conclusions obtained from it are integral to the mission and vision of the Crop Protection Research Institute.
